The German Federal Association of Minstrels, Fanfare, Horns and Music Trains e. V. is the umbrella organization for German amateur music associations. The aim of the association is to bring together all music trains in the Federal Republic of Germany.

According to the decision of the Cologne District Court (December 17, 2012), the DBV insolvency proceedings are open.

aims

The goals and tasks of the federal association are:

  • Conducting specialist training courses for minstrels, fanfare, horns and music trains for the purpose of preserving and promoting music.
  • Implementation of German championships and international events.
  • Promotion and training of the next generation within the member associations and member clubs, taking into account recognized youth care measures.
  • Registration and uniform training of the judges at federal level.

Organization / regional associations

9 regional associations are subordinate to the German Federal Association (DBV for short). In addition to the structured organization of the music trains at the state level, the state associations are also responsible for holding the state championships, which are held as a qualifying competition for the German championships.

German championships

The DBV has the task of organizing national German championships every two years, for which all music associations in Germany can qualify and in which the music associations determine the master in different classes.
