German Steamboat Association

The German Steamboat Association e. V. , DDV for short, also spelled Dampfbootverein , organizes the owners of steam boats in Germany. Based in Bodman-Ludwigshafen . This association has around 170 members who currently operate 43 steam boats - some of which are historical originals from the turn of the century around 1900. The boats were partly used as a feeder or for pilot trips.

He works closely with the international association “Steamboat Society” and the neighboring Swiss organization (Swiss Steamboat Friends).

The association emerged in 1983 from the "Association of German Steam Boat Owners" in Bodman (on Lake Constance ).
