German Inventors' Association

The German Inventors' Association (DEV) based in Nuremberg was founded in 1927 and is

  • a non-profit association for the creators of technical, scientific and economic creations
  • and a professional and independent association of inventors in Germany.

His tasks include, in particular, the creation of an innovation-friendly climate and the support of inventiveness. To this end, it promotes the creativity and innovative ability of young people, promotes and supports inventors in the protection and commercial exploitation of their inventions and participates in national and international trade fairs.

The DEV recently published the studies

  • Invention and Development 4.0 as well as
  • Enforcement of rights in the event of patent infringements

For the latter study, the DEV is in contact with the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection : The Ministry had included the DEV in the group of institutions to be heard in this area before changes to the law.

The DEV is subdivided into 16 geographical sections, for its members and for those interested it publishes the magazine Innovations-Forum with quarterly publication. He is a member of the European Association of Inventors / in the Association Européenne des Inventeurs AEI.
