The German Cultural Council in Namibia (DKR) is a cross-party cultural association in Namibia with its headquarters in Windhoek . The German Cultural Council was founded in 1989.

34 institutions and associations are organized in the DKR, including the German Scout Association of Namibia . He generally represents the cultural interests of the German Namibians . It has a total of around 6,000 members, making it the largest organization of German-speaking Namibians.

However, due to a lack of transparency, the association lacks the legitimacy to appear on behalf of the entire German population. The conflict over the rededication of the equestrian monument made this problem clear to the public.

Since December 2005, the DKR has published the biannual German literary magazine for Namibia called "Felsgraffiti", in which articles by Helmut Sydow and Giselher W. Hoffmann have also appeared.
