The German Meat Museum in the center of Böblingen is located in a building from the 16th century, the former Vogtshaus of the city. The museum , which was opened in 1984, displays documents on the history of the butcher's trade as well as a variety of objects such as typical tools, guild signs and others. Also, butcher shops shown from earlier centuries. The local history museum of the North Bohemian Netherlands is housed in the Vogtscheune behind the Vogtshaus .

Another butcher's museum in Germany has been located in the Schlaghaus Büdingen in Hesse since 2006 .
