The German Mennonite Mission Committee ( DMMK ) based in Karlsruhe is a Mennonite mission society . It was founded in 1951 by German Mennonite communities. The first mission project on Java was initiated as early as 1955 . Today missionaries of the Mennonite Mission Committee work in Ecuador , Russia and Central Asia, among others . They support local communities or provide specific development aid, for example in the social and medical sector. The DMMK has also initiated community projects in Germany. In cooperation with other Mennonite organizations such as the Mennonite Peace Committee , the DMMK maintains the Christian Services volunteer program . In addition to the practical work on site, the DMMK also wants to promote a greater awareness of mission and evangelism in the local churches. The work of the DMMK is mainly financed through donations.
