German Reich Code

The German Reich Code was a summary of the currently valid laws and ordinances of the German Reich with all incorporated changes that had been published in the Reichsgesetzblatt . The first editions in book form around 1900 were around 4,100 pages. The work was divided into public law and general civil law .

Due to the size, separate editions appeared for certain areas, for example the German Reich Code for Industry, Trade and Commerce , both as a journal and in book form. The magazine also contained decisions of the Reichsgericht and appeared from 1882 to 1942. In 1912 the two-volume book edition of the German Reichsgesetzbuch for industry, trade and commerce including handicrafts and agriculture had a volume of 1540 pages.
