The Deutz D 4006 is a Deutz brand tractor from the Deutz D-06 series, which was produced from 1968 to 1981 in the Deutz works in Cologne . The Deutz D 4006, designed in a frameless block design, was also offered as an all-wheel drive version in addition to the normal version . The built-in engine of type F3L912 was an air-cooled three-cylinder engine that achieved an output of 35  hp and a top speed of up to 25  km / h . The maximum torque was 129  Nm and 1500  revolutions per minute . Optionally, the Deutz tractor could also be purchased with an engine PTO , an independent PTO or crawler gears . The number of gears depended on the type of pin gear. The Deutz D 4006 had 16 gears as standard. With a width of 1535  mm and a length of 3470 mm, the curb weight was 1895 kg in the normal  version and 2270 kg in the all-wheel drive version.

Like the Deutz D 3006 , the D 4006 also received the new Deutz color from 1974.
