Deutz D 5005
The Deutz D 5005 is a tractor model from Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG from the Deutz D05 series, which was produced in the Deutz works in Cologne from 1965 to 1967 . The D 5005 was the predecessor model of the D 5006. A total of 8,300 tractors were built of this Deutz model.
The four-cylinder four-stroke vortex chamber diesel engine of the type F4L 812 S of the Deutz D 5005 had a displacement of 3400 cm³. The rated power of the tractor was 32.9 kW (45 hp ). The gearbox was available at the start of production with 6 forward and 2 reverse gears. Since this was too rough for use in agriculture, the drive unit was replaced with an 8-speed gearbox and a new power lift system. The engine had pistons made of light metal and a lockable speed. Otherwise it had the same specification as the D 4005. The double clutch came from Fichtel & Sachs . An overdrive version was optionally available. The curb weight was 2060 kg . The gearbox is a Deutz gearbox of the type TW 50.1 or TW 50.2 with manual shifting. The top speed was 25 km / h.
The special features of the D 5005 included rubber-sprung steering arms, a differential lock with automatic release and a parking brake with a drum on the right-hand side of the countershaft. In addition to the normal version, the Deutz tractor was also offered as an all-wheel drive version . In 1967 the Deutz D 5005 was replaced by the 06 series.
