The Deutz D 6005 is a Deutz brand tractor from the Deutz D-05 series, which was produced from 1966 to 1967 in the Deutz works in Cologne . The all-wheel drive version of the D 6005 is called D 6005 A. Since it was the first Deutz tractor with direct injection, it was considered an important milestone in the further development of Deutz. A total of 3600 pieces of this Deutz model were produced.

The tractor, which is characterized by a frameless block design, has a type TW 55 claw-type gearbox with 9 forward and 3 reverse gears. The F4L812D engine of the Deutz D 6005 was an air-cooled four-cylinder four-stroke in-line direct injection diesel engine and had an axial cooling fan. The special features of the engine include the crankshaft with mass balance, the oil purge air filter and the lockable speed. At 2300  revolutions per minute , it had a nominal output of 58  hp (42.5 kW). With a length of 3670  mm and a width of 1950 mm, the empty weight of the tractor was 2565 kg. The top speed of the Deutz D 6005 was 27.6  km / h .
