The Devegeçidi Dam ( Turkish Devegeçidi Barajı ) is located on Devegeçidi Çayı 25 km northwest of the provincial capital Diyarbakır in the Turkish province of the same name .
The dam was built in the years 1953–1962 for irrigation . The stone rubble dam has a height of 33 m above the valley floor and has a volume of 3.24 million m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of 28 hectares in normal damming conditions and has a storage space of 202 million m³. The dam is used to irrigate an area of 10,600 ha.
