The Dhakeshwari Temple ( Bengali : ঢাকেশ্বরী মন্দির , Ḍhākeśbarī Mandir ) is the most famous Hindu temple in Dhaka , Bangladesh .

The centrally located sacred building probably dates from the 11th century. This oldest Hindu temple in the city is dedicated to the ten-armed goddess Dhakeshwari and probably the namesake of Dhakas.

The temple is located on Dhakeshwari Road, and is just 500 m southwest of the Salimullah Hall of the University of Dhaka . There is a monumental entrance gate, the Nahabatkhana Gate.
