Dhamar'ali I.

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dhamar'ali I. ( Sabean ḏmr'ly Ḏamar'alī), successor to the Yitha'amar Watar I was a ruler ( Mukarrib ) of Saba . Hermann von Wissmann continued his reign around 695 BC. BC, Kenneth A. Kitchen, however, around 525 BC. Chr.

Dhamar'ali is only mentioned in two private inscriptions as well as in the title of his son and successor Karib'il Watar I. "bin Dhamar'ali". The private inscriptions, which were set by “friends” of the Mukarribe, name Dhamar'ali I between Yitha'amar Watar I and Karib'il Watar I, but nothing is known about his rule itself. A short building inscription may also belong to it. However, it is not certain that these inscriptions belong together.
