The Diário Económico is a Portuguese business newspaper that has been published every trading day since 1989 and is based in Lisbon and is now only published on the Internet.

Readers are mainly informed about markets, economics, politics, companies, finances and also sports. The publisher also feeds the television channel Económico-TV into the Portuguese cable network. The newspaper was sold in 2008 by the Spanish group Grupo Recoletos for 27.5 million euros and has since been owned by the investment holding Ongoing Media . Parts of the sheet appeared on a pink background.

The newspaper had a circulation of around 24,000 copies and was read by an average of 216,000 readers every day (2011).

The print edition was discontinued in 2016. António Costa has been the director since 2008.
