Dialectica (work)

Dialectica is a work of the French philosopher Petrus Abelardus . It was created around the year 1120 and contains the logic of Abelard.

Date of origin, tradition and issues

It is believed that the work was created between 1117 and 1121. As a result, Abelard revised the Dialectica three times, each time adding new passages of text. The oldest surviving manuscript was made around the middle of the 12th century.
