The Diana statue in Gotha ( Thuringia ) was a bronze sculpture in the orangery from 1911.

history

The figure group of Diana with a hunting dog was placed on the middle discount of the orangery garden in 1919 . In the course of the redesign of the installation area, on the occasion of the implementation of the memorial obelisk for the "fallen heroes of the FEA 3" (Gothaer Flieger Ersatzabteilung 3) from 1916, it was dismantled in 1931 and repositioned in the garden on the other side of the Ducal Palace. Since the Second World War , the sculpture has been considered lost; Presumably it was melted down to extract raw materials relevant to the war economy.
