Diapason d'or

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Diapason d'or ( French for golden tuning fork ) is a record award for recordings of classical music. It is awarded in several categories every month by the French magazine Diapason . The Diapason and France Musique music critics also select the winners of the Diapason d'or de l'année from the monthly list of the best and honor them at the end of November.

In addition to the German Record Critics' Award and the British Gramophone Award , the Diapason d'or is the most important independent European record award for classical music.
