The Diario El Día , also known as Maroñas Entertainment , is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The building, constructed in 1936, is located in Barrio Centro on Avenida 18 de Julio 1299 , corner of Yaguarón . Architect Diego Noboa Courrás was responsible for the construction . The daily newspaper of the same name, El Día , was originally located here . There is now a shopping arcade and a casino. In 1996 renovation and renovation work was carried out on the shopping arcade under the direction of the architects A. Aneff , R. Di Bueno and J. Perello . In 2003, others joined the casino for which architect M. Herrera Lussich was responsible.

Since 1995 the building has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal .
