The Ampelmännchen
The Ampelmännchen is a radio play series by the Karussell company that was created in the 1980s . The children's radio plays served as traffic education. The series was also published in book form by the Schneider company . In 2012 the children's radio play Ampelmännchen are no pets was produced.
The designation Die Ampelmännchen is to be distinguished from several protected word and figurative marks Rettet die Ampelmännchen . On the other hand, Ampelmännchen is a general language and therefore not protectable designation. In turn, the GDR pedestrian traffic light man has been granted protection by the court.

The lively, thinking Ampelmännchen green and red lead a rather dreary existence in the regulation of pedestrian traffic, variety gives them the solution of various criminal cases that their friends (a few children) bring them to them again and again. The two traffic light men then immediately set about investigating the reported cases, using their special skills.
