The grabs

The grabs were a sub-series of the booklet novel series Silber-Krimi , in which agent novels were published. The technology used within the series went in some cases beyond what was technically feasible at the time. The novels were clearly marked on the cover and pushed the title of the series into the background.

All novels were written by the British Robert Frank Atkinson under the pseudonym Bert F. Atkins . At the end of the Second World War in 1945, Atkinson came to Germany as an occupation soldier, where he met his wife, a philologist , who taught him the German language to the point where he could write novels. The author had developed the series himself and ended it after 24 issues in favor of the horror series Nebelgeister , which was later integrated into the silver horror thriller .
