The twelve (novel)
The Twelve (English title: The Twelve ) is a science fiction - horror novel by American writer Justin Cronin . The original English version was published in 2012. The German translation by Rainer Schmidt was published by Goldmann Verlag with the title Die Zwölf on January 14, 2013. It's the second part of a trilogy.

The second volume essentially deals with two periods of time. On the one hand, the experiences of different people in year zero (i.e. the year of the virus outbreak). On the other hand, the book takes up the story about five years (in 97 AC) after the end of the first volume and describes the attempt by the protagonists already known from the first part, as well as some new ones, to destroy the remaining eleven of the twelve .
