Justin Cronin (* 1962 ) is an American writer .

Life

Justin Cronin grew up in New England , where he attended Harvard University and the Iowa Writers' Workshop . From 1992 to 2005 he taught creative writing and was the "Author in Residence" at La Salle University in Philadelphia . He currently resides in Houston with his wife and children , where he also teaches English at Rice University . His writing style is influenced by Stephen King and Cormac McCarthy .
