Aloe pulcherrima is a species of the genus Aloes in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae). The specific epithet pulcherrima comes from Latin and means 'pretty'.

Vegetative characteristics
Aloe pulcherrima grows trunk-forming and branches dichotomously. The prostrate or drooping trunk reached a length of up to 100 centimeters and is 8 centimeters thick. The 35 to 50 lanceolate, narrowed leaves form a dense rosette . The light blue-green, slightly glauke , finely striped leaf blade is up to 50 centimeters long and 12 centimeters wide. The teeth on the red edge of the leaf are 0.2 to 0.3 millimeters long and up to 30 millimeters apart. The leaf sap is dry purple in color.
Inflorescences and flowers
The pendent inflorescence has three to six branches or more and reaches a length of 50 to 80 centimeters. The loose, cylindrical grapes are 12 to 28 centimeters long. The egg-shaped, pointed, rather fleshy bracts have a length of 8 to 9 millimeters and are 7 to 8 millimeters wide. The cylindrical, red flowers are on 8 to 12 millimeter long peduncles . They are 32 to 33 millimeters long. At the level of the ovary , the flowers have a diameter of about 6 millimeters. Your outer tepals are not fused together over a length of about 20 millimeters. The stamens and the style stick out briefly from the flower.
Systematics and distribution
Aloe pulcherrima is common in Ethiopia in the sparse bush on steep slopes and cliffs at altitudes of 2480 to 2750 meters.
