Die Bildenden Künste was an art magazine that was published in Vienna from 1916 and appeared monthly. Until 1918 it formed the supplement to the building and architecture magazine Der Architekt , which sought to expand its artistic spectrum. In 1919, "Die bildenden Künste" became an independent magazine under the direction of the art historian and university professor Hans Tietze . Until 1922 it was the most important organ of the Tietze circle.
