Die Woche Australia ( Die Woche for short , sometimes Die Woche in Australien and Die neue Woche Australia ) is a German-language weekly newspaper that is produced in Sydney . The newspaper mainly offers German speakers in Australia and New Zealand news and reports from Europe and the German-speaking countries, plus local news from Australian and New Zealand cities with reports from the life of German speakers in the region.

Johann "John" Jakobi published the first printed edition of the paper in 1957 as Die Woche in Australien . As editor-in-chief Nadine Halberkann continued the paper as Die neue Woche in Australia in 2013 , the circulation was around 10,000 copies. In July 2017, the journalist Dieter Herrmann accepted his appointment as editor-in-chief.

The newspaper appears every Tuesday in newsagents or by subscription. According to the company, the publication reached up to 30,000 readers a week in 2019.
