The Seven Ravens were a German music group . The formation was in 1956 with the title Smoky in first place in the German hit parade for two months .

The title was written by Kurt Feltz . On the B-side of Polydor's shellac record was the title Oklahoma-Tom . This reached number 11. The Seven Ravens were four members of the comedian quartet : Herbert Imlau, Fred Ritter, Werner Schliebietz and Karl-Heinz Nowak. The female voices came from the singers of the Sunshine Quartet or from Ille Wappler, member of the Moonlights .
