Thief apron

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A thief's apron is a prepared piece of clothing with many extra pockets for stowing stolen goods . It is mostly used as an aid by professional shoplifters in shopping malls to steal items inconspicuously without being noticed by people who could be harmful to this action from the thieves' point of view (store manager, salesman, shop detective or passers-by). A thief's apron can be worn under the skirt (mostly by women) or in a large inside pocket of a jacket, mostly created especially for this purpose.
