Diego Castro (born October 10, 1961 in Constitución ) is a former Chilean football player .

Club career

Diego Castro first played for the Chilean club Deportivo Aviación before moving to Chicago Sting in 1982 . There Castro first played on the field before a play time in the hall played.

In 1984 Castro joined the German football club Hertha BSC . With the Berliners he reached 14th place in the second division season 1984/85 . After 22 missions, Diego Castro left Hertha and returned to the USA .

At the Dallas Sidekicks and then at the Wichita Wings in the hall, he became an undisputed regular player. With his involvement with Memphis Storm , however, he lost this status and he was no longer able to convince as a high performer at the subsequent stations Wichita Wings (indoor), Dallas Sidekicks, Dallas Rockets and Houston Hotshots (indoor). In 1994 Diego Castro ended his playing career.

National team career

Diego Castro was a player for the Chilean U-21 national team.

Coaching career

Diego Castro coached the youth teams of Dallas Titans , Dallas Inter and West Texas Heat . In addition, he was employed as an assistant coach of the soccer team at the University of North Texas and supervised the team of the Texas Toros .
