Diego Fernández , full name Diego Darío Fernández Catardo , (born January 30, 1995 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

Defensive player Fernández played in youth football in 2009 in the Septima División at Nacional Montevideo . He then moved to Liverpool FC . There he was a member of the Sexta División in 2010, was active in the U-16s in 2011 and in the Quinta División in 2012. In 2013 he joined the Club Atlético Rentistas . Since then he has been a member of the team in the Cuarta División (until 2014) and in the Tercera División. In 2015 he was promoted to the professional team of the first division team Rentistas. He made his debut in the Primera División in the Apertura on August 26, 2015 in the 0-1 away defeat against Club Atlético Cerro , when he was substituted on by coach Valentín Villazán in the 84th minute for Rodrigo Sebastián Vázquez . In the 2015/16 season he played a first division match (no goal). His club was relegated at the end of the season.
