Official route (traffic route)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As official channels paths are called, which may be used only by officials but not by the public. This includes, for example, official routes within railway facilities and official routes from motorway maintenance depots.

Anyone who enters or uses the official route of a railway system without official authorization is acting in violation of the regulations (Section 64b, Paragraph 2, No. 1 of the German Railway Construction and Operating Regulations ).

It is not legally required to mark official routes with a specific traffic sign. This explains the variety of signs used.
