In Germany, temporary and professional soldiers in the Bundeswehr receive service time benefits .

Temporary soldiers

The specific service provision for soldiers is, in addition to professional development, an essential measure of the welfare of the employer at and after the end of service . It is intended to financially secure the periods of individual qualification, civil vocational training and the search for work or employment ( Section 3 (1) sentence 1 SVG ).

The temporary service provision for soldiers includes ( Section 3 (4 ) SVG ):

  1. the transitional fees ,
  2. the compensation payments ,
  3. the transitional allowance ,
  4. the maintenance contribution for temporary soldiers,
  5. the difference according to Section 47 (1) sentence 2 SVG ,
  6. the one-time payments according to § 89b SVG .

Professional soldiers

The service provision for professional soldiers includes ( Section 14 SVG ):

  1. Pension or alimony,
  2. Accident pension
  3. Transitional allowance
  4. Compensation for age limits ,
  5. Increase amount according to Section 26 Paragraph 7 Clause 3 Clause 1 SVG ,
  6. Difference according to Section 47 Paragraph 1 Clause 2 and 3 SVG ,
  7. Compensation amount in accordance with Section 47 (2) SVG ,
  8. Adjustment surcharge according to § 95 sentence 5 SVG ,
  9. Services according to § 40 to § 74 SVG ,
  10. One-time payments according to § 89b SVG .

The service supply of professional soldiers is similar to the service law concept of pensions of civil servants and judges ( § 2 BeamtVG ).
