Dieter Decker

Dieter Decker (born July 17, 1946 in Delfshausen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After finishing elementary school in Rastede, Decker attended secondary school, where he obtained his secondary school leaving certificate . This was followed by training as an auctioneer , broker and legal advisor, and he then completed his military service. Decker had been an employee of the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg since 1968 , where he trained as a savings bank clerk . From 1969 until his election to the state parliament in 1994, he worked as head of the Wahnbek branch of the Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg. Since 1969 he worked part-time as an auctioneer and broker.

Decker joined the CDU in 1972. From that year he was also on the council of the municipality of Rastede, whose mayor he was from 1990 to October 31, 2011. In addition, from 1972 he was a member of the district council of the Ammerland district , where he was CDU parliamentary group leader from 1996. Decker moved into the Lower Saxony state parliament in 1994 via the CDU's state list , to which he was a member until 2003 ( 13th and 14th electoral periods ).
