Delfshausen is a district of the municipality of Rastede in the Ammerland district in Lower Saxony .
The village, about 5.5 kilometers northeast of Rastede, has 316 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2010).
Delfshausen was created in 1782 from a bog colony in the eastern part of the Rasteder bog. The first three colonists had settled on Langenwischdamm wildly, without a permit . It was not until 1800 that the Grand Ducal Chamber in Oldenburg made a plan for further settlement.
In 1921 Delfshausen was connected to the electricity network and in 1955 also to the water network. In 1802 there were four households in Delfshausen, in 1984 there were 96 households with 334 inhabitants.
