Dietmar Alge

Dietmar Alge (born July 10, 1959 in Lustenau ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and politician ( ÖVP ). Alge was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 1994 to 2009 . He lives in Lustenau, is married and has two children.

Live and act

Dietmar Alge completed an apprenticeship at the University of Applied Sciences Neu Technikum Buchs and completed the university course in applied business administration with the academic degree DI (FH) . In 1984 Alge joined the company alge electronic founded by his father and took over the management of the company in 1986.

Alge is a co-opted member of the board of Vorarlberg industrialists and a member of the industry section of the Chamber of Commerce. He also represented the ÖVP from October 4, 1994 until 2009 in the Vorarlberg state parliament. For a long time Alge had held the function of economic spokesman within the ÖVP state parliament club, but had to resign from this position on June 1, 2006 after anti-employee slogans appeared on his company website. Alge then took over the function of area spokesman for new technologies, research and development and announced in February 2009 that he would no longer run in the 2009 state elections. With the inauguration of the 29th Vorarlberg Landtag on October 14, 2009, he retired from active politics.
