The digital start-up center Einstein 1 in Hof (Saale) is one of the start-up centers of the Free State of Bavaria . These were opened to promote the start-up scene in Bavaria. Einstein 1 belongs to the campus in Hof.

history

It was decided in 2016 to build start-up centers throughout Bavaria . Eleven centers were established at that time. In the second phase, another seven start-up centers were set up in 2019. The topping-out ceremony was held at the new building in Hof in December 2018. About a year later, in autumn 2019, the house was ready to move into. The start-up center had already started operations years earlier in the premises of the neighboring University of Applied Sciences in Hof .

Coworking space

The coworking space has 30 seats and offers high-speed internet, lounge area, phone boxes and lockers. For coworking, among other things, free coaching, networking and flexible memberships are offered.

Start-up apprenticeship and start-up grant

Einstein 1 offers the start-up teaching together with the University of Applied Sciences. The students take a practical business administration course with an entrepreneurship focus and should thereby be led to their own start-up company.

Exist start-up grant

Together with the University of Applied Sciences, Einstein 1 offers a start-up grant. Einstein 1 helps the founders with various types of support:

  • Joint planning and support of the Exist application
  • Help with drawing up the idea paper
  • The university then forwards the completed application to the Jülich PTJ project management organization
