Dimiter Angelov
Dimiter Angelov (* 1972 ) is a Bulgarian Byzantinist .
Life
He was educated in Bulgaria and the United States (BA Wabash, PhD Harvard 2002) and after a career of more than ten years as a researcher, lecturer and professor at the Center for Byzantine, Ottoman and Modern Greek at the University of Birmingham, he joined the Dumbarton Oaks Professor of Byzantine History the Department of History at Harvard University.
His main research interests are Byzantine ideas about geography and the world, Byzantium as an empire and the politics of fake news and rumors. He also works on translations.
