Ding Jiemin (* 1957 ) is a Chinese civil engineer and architect.

Ding Jiemin studied at Tongji University and received his doctorate there in 1990. There he is also President of the Architectural Design and Research Institute (TJADRI) and Professor of Structural Engineering. He is president of the engineering and architecture firm Tongji Architectural Design.

Its best-known structure is the 632 m high Shanghai Tower . The American architecture firm Gensler and the American engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti were involved in the Shanghai Tower. In 2016 it received the Best Tall Building Worldwide Award from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). One innovation was the double, curved curtain wall. Ding was responsible for the static calculation. Another aspect he worked on was earthquake security.

In 2018 he received the gold medal from the Institution of Structural Engineers , of which he is a fellow.
