Dinsing , also Dysinck and Dinsick , is the name of an old Westphalian noble family whose ancestral seat is in the parish of Wattenscheid .

In 1482 Jasper von Dinsing acquired the manor Haus Balken from Jürgen von Backem .

Johann von Dinsick (1529–1540) married Anna von der Berswordt and inherited the Bärendorf house .

The married couple Ditmar von Dinsing zu Bärendorf and his gatting Elisabeth von Schwansbell sold the three hereditary estates Hoemen, Posaun and Bischofskotten in the Essen monastery to Johann Mittweg and Gertrud Nessel zu Essen in 1615 .

The silver coat of arms shows a right-facing black swan with a red beak and red feet. On the helmet with black and silver covers the swan.
