Diodotos I.
Diodotos I was the founder of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom , which existed around 255 to 239 BC. Ruled. He was initially a satrap of the Seleucids , who then rebelled against Antiochus II . He fought against the emerging Parthian Empire , which he was able to put in its place and also seemed to have entered into an alliance with Seleucus II against it. Diodotus I is mentioned by classical authors and is best known for his coins. His successor was his son Diodotus II.
