Dionys Ottl (* 1964 in Peißenberg ) is a German architect .

Life

Ottl graduated from the Technical University of Munich in 1995 . Since 1998 he has been managing the Hild und K Architects office in Munich together with Andreas Hild .

The office is primarily active in the areas of residential construction and office and commercial construction.

The aim of the reorganization of the St. Anna Franciscan Monastery in Munich, completed in 2008 , was to combine the heterogeneous structural elements from which the complex had grown in the course of its eventful history into a stylistically coherent whole. The new building, which is now replacing a dilapidated part of the building from the post-war period, is of course integrated into the ensemble. He subjects found elements to a modern interpretation. In various places, the cubatures are convex and concave, as in baroque church buildings, and a round arch motif is used repeatedly.

The redesign of the originally late classicist facade of the Reichenbachstrasse residential building (2011) relies on the interpretation of a stylistic device from the 19th century. The different heights of protruding elements - so-called bosses - create a wave-like relief.
