The Dire Dawa Stadium ( Amharic በድሬዳዋ ስታዲየም ) is a multi-purpose stadium in the Ethiopian city of Dire Dawa . It has a capacity of 18,000 seats, making it the third largest stadium in the country after the Addis Ababa Stadium and the Awassa Kenema Stadium .
The football club Dire Dawa City FC plays its home games in the stadium . In 1976, a total of six African Cup of Nations games took place here.
