Board of Directors (body)

A board of directors is a body that includes several directors of an organization, for example the board of directors of the Swiss National Bank. An English equivalent is Board of Directors .

  • Historically, the highest political governing body in Bohemia , Switzerland and France was called the Directory.
  • Today this refers in particular to the Swiss directory system .
  • As a council of directors (Совет директоров, Soviet directorov) the supervisory board of a company is referred to in Russian; a better translation of Совет директоров would be the Board of Directors (Board of Directors attached to the Board of Directors).
