Dirk Römer (born November 25, 1963 ) is a former German soccer player .
Römer played from 1982 to 1989 for Union Solingen in the 2nd Bundesliga . Dirk Römer was used as a defender in Solingen. In 1989 he moved to Preußen Münster , where he was under contract until 1991. After two years and 66 games played, he then moved to SC Fortuna Köln . There he played 38 games as a midfielder in two years, in which he scored one goal.
Römer played a total of 339 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored 22 goals.
In 1993 he ended his active career.
Roman's son Niklas became a German national football player .
