Disc Description Protocol

The Disc Description Protocol (DDP) is a file format developed by Doug Carson & Associates and is de facto the standard for the delivery of master data for the reproduction of audio CDs and DVDs .

When the data is delivered via FTP , the term DDPi is also used.

The current versions of the specification are:

  • CD: DDP 2.0
  • DVD: DDP 2.10
  • HD DVD-ROM: DDP 3.0
