Distributed Universal Number Discovery
DUNDi stands for " D istributed U niform N umber Di SCOVERY" and is a peer-to-peer -based system for converting telephone numbers into Internet addresses, which by the company Digium was developed. The open source telephone system Asterisk , also developed by Digium, supports the DUNDi protocol.
In contrast to the ENUM , DUNDi does not have a hierarchical structure with official registration offices, but each participant agrees to a policy and is responsible for his own entries.
