Division I (chess) 1963
The Division I in 1963 was the 14th Swedish team championship in chess ( Allsvenskan ) and simultaneously the 11th contest in a league mode with ascent and descent.

The competitions were held in Stockholm on November 2nd and 3rd .
Tournament course
The winner of the last three years, the Stockholm national team , broke up and the starting place fell to Wasa SK . Before the final round, this was one team point ahead of the team from Mälardalen and maintained this lead with a draw in a direct comparison. The previous year's two climbers, the Schacksällskapet Manhem and the Jönköpings Schacksällskap, had to relegate immediately.
