Division national (chess) 2013/14
The national division (chess) 2013/14 was the top division of the Luxembourg team championship in chess.
Champion became Cercle d'échecs Dudelange , which relegated defending champion De Sprénger Echternach to second place. The Smashing Pawns Bieles and the second team from Cercle d'échecs Dudelange were promoted from the Promotion d'honneur . While Bieles reached relegation, Dudelange's second team had to relegate together with the second team of Le Cavalier Differdange . mode
The tournament was divided into a preliminary round and a final round. The eight participating teams first played a simple round-robin tournament . The first four played for the title in Poule Haute , the last four in Poule Basse against relegation. The total of the team points (2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a defeat), then the number of board points (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a one loss, 0 points for an uncompromising loss). For the final placement, both the points from the preliminary round and the points from the final round were taken into account.
Game dates
The competitions were held on September 22, October 13, November 17, December 15, 2013, January 12, February 2 and 9, March 16 and 30 and April 27, 2014.
Preliminary round
As in previous years, De Sprénger Echternach, Le Cavalier Differdange and Cercle d'échecs Dudelange qualified for the Poule Haute, while Gambit Bonnevoie had to give up the starting place in the Poule Haute to the newcomer The Smashing Pawns Bieles .
