Dmitri Igorewitsch Peregudow (Russian Дмитрий Игоревич Перегудов) (born January 26, 1963 in Moscow ) is a Russian ballet dancer , choreographer and director .

Life

Dmitri Peregudow comes from a family of dancers. His father Igor Peregudow and his mother Irina Chub were solo dancers at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and his paternal grandfather, Alexander Peregudow , was also a soloist at the Bolshoi Theater as an opera singer.

At the age of seven, Dmitri was accepted into the Moscow Ballet Academy and was trained as a dancer at the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet Academy from 1970 to 1980. After his state examination as a ballet dancer in 1980, Dmitri was accepted into the ensemble of the Bolshoi Theater and shortly afterwards became a solo dancer of the classical repertoire. From 1983 to 1988 he also studied directing and choreography at the Theater Art Academy in Moscow (GITIS).

In 1999 Dmitri was invited by the ballet director of the Magdeburg theater Irene Schneider to work at her side as ballet master and choreographic assistant. A new phase of life began in Germany. He transferred the original choreography of the Don Quixote ballet to Magdeburg and took on the role of Sancho Panza himself, which was already one of his favorite roles in Moscow. Since 2006 he has been a lecturer at the Theater Ballet School Magdeburg eV

In September 2010 Peregudow opened his own dance school. The Schönebeck dance school offers various courses for children, young people and adults.
