Dmytro Mychajlowytsch Lasutkin ( Ukrainian Дмитро Михайлович Лазуткін ; scientific transliteration Dmytro Mychajlovyč Lazutkin ) (born November 18, 1978 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian poet , sports reporter and talk show host.

biography

After completing his engineering studies at the Kiev Polytechnic University , after initially working as a metallurgy engineer and karate trainer and studying journalism at the Kiev International University, he soon switched to television as a correspondent and sports reporter. In 2006, predestined for this by his own sporting awards, he commented on the Olympic Games in Beijing (2008), later those in Vancouver (2010) and London (2012), and the European Games in Baku (2015). He also commented on martial arts , especially boxing, for two Ukrainian TV channels . He also moderates a journal, the “men's club”. Lasutkin practiced various martial arts, including karate and kickboxing, to the limit of the professional and won several awards in them. To this day he occasionally competes in boxing matches. He has been married to the journalist Ira Batashchuk since May 27th.

Poetic work

As a Ukrainian poet, Lasutkin became known in Ukraine in the first years of the 21st century. He was motivated by scholarships for his first volumes of poetry between 2006 and 2008, and several other volumes of poetry followed from 2012. Lasutkin's affinity for sports soon discovered poetry slam as a typical direction for him. The usual direct, clear use of words and the tempo are shown overall in Lasutkin's poetic work. His poem “Requiem” became the basis of the oratorio “God with Us” (2014) by the Ukrainian director Serhij Proskurnja in memory of the “Heavenly Hundred”. Lasutkin had previously written lyrics for various Ukrainian music groups.
