Luminor Bank is the second largest (by number of employees) bank in Lithuania , a subsidiary of DnB NORD ( Norway ). It employs 1,491 people (2013). In 2012 it achieved sales of 378.8 million litas .

history

In 1988 the "TSRS agropramoninio banko Lietuvos respublikinis bankas" (Lithuanian republic bank of the agroindustrial bank of the Soviet Union ) was registered in Soviet Lithuania . In 1990 it became the bank "Lietuvos agropramoninis bankas" and in 1992 the state bank "Lietuvos žemės ūkio bankas". The shareholders were the government of Lithuania and Lithuanian people. In 2003 the bank became AB bankas " NORD / LB Lietuva" (investor was the German NORD / LB). In 2006 it became AB “DnB NORD bankas”. In 2010, DnB NORD bought the Lithuanian bank. It became AB “DNB bankas”. Since October 2017 it has been operating as "Luminor Bank".
